Muddy Feet deliver Nature Play sessions to our Home-Start families as part of the Nature Connection for Wellbeing project.
Some of our Home-Start families living in Banbury and Bicester have just finished an enjoyable 5 week Nature Play Course delivered by Muddy Feet – Outdoor Learning and Forest Schools. This project was kindly funded by Cherwell District Council and the Healthy Bicester Initiative.
The sessions were held at Bicester Community Garden, a lovely area tucked away by the old St.Edburgs School, and Bridge Street Community Garden, a beautiful area between Banbury Town Centre and the Grimsbury estate. Thank you to both Ann-Marie, from Bicester Community Garden, and Tila, from Bridge Street Community Garden, for supporting these sessions.
Families had fun each week completing many different nature based activities such as making dens, bug hunts, playing with the mud kitchen, using clay, culminating in an exciting final week toasting marshmallows over a fire.
The sessions were thoroughly enjoyed by everyone that participated.
We are delighted we were able to provide our families with this opportunity and thank everyone involved for making these sessions a success!
