We are delighted to welcome 6 new Home-Visiting Volunteers to the Home-Start Banbury, Bicester & Chipping Norton team.
It’s been a fun and cake-fuelled 8 weeks with our new volunteers. Over 16 sessions, we’ve spent a lot of time getting to know one another, exploring our values and beliefs as well as what it means to be a Home-Start volunteer. The course prepares our volunteers for offering weekly support to local families in their home. All our volunteers are trained before they are carefully matched to their first family.
As well as playful sessions indoors and outside in nature, we cover support available for families and volunteers and we are lucky to have engaging speakers to talk about other sources of help including Mental health, Safeguarding and Domestic abuse.
