Meet our new volunteers!

During March 2021, we have trained 8 new volunteers to be able to remotely support families.

We try to host a new volunteer preparation course at least once a year to recruit and train new volunteers. Sadly we had  to cancel our course in April 2020 when Covid-19 restrictions first came in, so we are pleased that we have been able to run a course this month.

Due to social-distancing restrictions, this was delivered online via Zoom and was a reduced version of our usual preparation course, focusing on training our new volunteers to offer families emotional support through regular telephone calls.

The penultimate session of the course gave the new volunteers a chance to meet our staff team and some of our trustees.
