As we approach the festive season, we’re excited to announce our participation in the Big Give Christmas Challenge. This year, we’re aiming to raise a very ambitious £20,000 between 3rd December and 10th December 2024. Donations can only be made during this week and will be matched, giving us a unique opportunity to double our impact. All the funds raised will go directly towards providing essential support to local families, helping us to continue making a real difference. Every contribution, no matter how small, still has a big impact on the work we do. You can learn more about the campaign and contribute here.
In the meantime, if you think you’d fancy hosting a little fundraising event or activity for us where proceeds are then donated and doubled through the Big Give platform, that would be amazing. Here are a few fun ideas of activities that might just inspire you or get you into the giving spirit:
- A fun ‘Coffee, Cake and Catch-up’ morning perhaps
- A cake sale
- Maybe you’re already a crafting whizz and are selling your goods at some Christmas fairs over the next coming weeks…if so, maybe you could have a collection jar on your stall for HSBBCN (we do have some available in the office that you could use…let us know if you need one)
- Host a Popcorn & Movie/Trivia/Gaming Marathon Night
- Or if you’re feeling brave, you could get your children/grandchildren/nieces/nephews involved and they enjoy helping you with a driveway/garage sale (always a good shout if you’re looking have a clear out before Christmas)
- Complete a fitness challenge to raise funds (would have to be a short challenge of 2 or 3 weeks to fit in with timings of when Big Give donations go live)
These are just a few of the many ways in which you could join our Big Give fundraising heroes and get involved.
