Meet Nicole…
Hi I’m Nicole, I’m an official crazy cat lady! I live with my lovely husband, Keiron, (who I married earlier this year) and my 3 cats in a village just outside of Banbury. I have previously done a Triathlon and most recently a Sky Dive for Charity, and have always said I would love to do a Half Marathon (maybe one day a FULL Marathon!) so we I recently met Aimee & Louise from Home Start at Norbar’s Charity Committee Meeting and they said they were looking for volunteers to run the Oxford Half on their behalf, it felt like it was the perfect Charity to lace my trainers up and raise some money for! I have always enjoyed running and I usually run once or twice a week with one run around 7/8 miles and the second being the 5k park run, so this challenge will see me moving my current fitness levels to a new high moving over the 10miles mark!
Meet Emily …
I have been running for about 5 years, I started off by doing the couch to 5k app then joined Cherwell runners and Joggers running club in 2019 after completing the Hornton 10k race, a very hilly loop! I have never run a half marathon and wanted to in 2020 but due to Covid this was not possible, and then I became a Mummy in 2021 to my little 2year old girl. I have been training getting back into running for 2 years and recently tried paddle boarding which I have developed a keen interest for as this is helping with my core and balance. So now I feel I am ready to take on this challenge! It feels good to know that I am doing this for a really great charity as well as something that I wanted to do for myself!
