On Thursday, some of our Stay & Play families enjoyed a gardening session at Bridge Street Community Garden.
We started with a hexagonal gardening bed, already filled with compost by the wonderful volunteers at Bridge Street Community Garden in Banbury. The wooden sides had been painted with a green base coat.
4 families joined us at the garden and we started by planting a range of plants and herbs into the bed. The children were fabulous at digging holes for their plants to be put in and pushing down the soil around them.
After enjoying some refreshments, it was then time to paint.
The children’s involvement with this was absolutely incredible and the adults loved this activity too.

We will be returning to the Community Garden soon to harvest our plants!
